Job Description Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are readily availableObtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and current medications accurately in electronic health recordsAssist healthcare providers during patient examinations and proceduresPerform clinical procedures including venipuncture, EKG administration, specimen collection, and injections as directedProcess and prepare laboratory specimens for testing and maintain quality control standardsManage patient flow efficiently to optimize provider schedules and minimize wait timesEducate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructionsMaintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standardsSterilize medical instruments and maintain infection control protocolsCoordinate patient referrals and communicate with external healthcare facilitiesHandle administrative duties including scheduling, phone triage, and medical record managementRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical settingPhlebotomy proficientHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMedical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) strongly preferredCurrent CPR/BLS certificationProficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systemsStrong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical proceduresExcellent organizational and time-management skillsOutstanding interpersonal and communication abilitiesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
