Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, shipping & receiving procedures. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting e-commerce and distribution channels. Duties Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders Load and unload freight using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately for delivery or transfer Maintain accurate inventory records through order picking, stock replenishment, and data entry Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit Assist with stocking, order fulfillment, and inventory audits Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during shipping and receiving processes Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and managing order flow efficiently Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution is preferred Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Quickbooks and phone skills are a plus Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks are highly desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate inventory control Basic math skills for counting and verifying shipments Ability to lift heavy items safely and work in a physically demanding environment Knowledge of e-commerce order processing and packaging techniques is a plus This role requires a proactive individual capable of multitasking in a dynamic warehouse setting while maintaining safety standards.
