We are seeking an Associate (1-2 years of experience) to join our Construction Litigation and Real Estate practice in either our Lake Success or Brooklyn office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain hands-on experience working closely with experienced practitioners on a broad range of construction and real estate disputes, as well as transactional matters.
Responsibilities
Assist in all phases of construction litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation
Draft and respond to discovery demands, including document requests, interrogatories, and deposition-related materials
Support attorneys in handling disputes involving construction defects, delays, contract claims, and related matters
Conduct due diligence, including review of title reports, surveys, and related documents
Participate in real estate financing transactions representing borrowers and lenders
Assist in drafting and reviewing construction access agreements and handling matters related to RPAPL § 881 proceedings
Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel
Participate in court appearances, conferences, and mediations as necessary
Support real estate transactions and related matters as needed
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York State Bar (or pending admission)
1-2 years of experience in commercial real estate or a related litigation practice
Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience
