Senior FPGA Design Engineer

Razor is seeking a skilled FPGA Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced digital hardware solutions supporting defense, aerospace, or secure communications systems. This role involves full lifecycle FPGA development, from architecture and design through verification and integration, in a classified environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop FPGA-based systems using HDL (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog)Architect, implement, and validate digital logic designs and subsystemsPerform simulation, verification, and debugging using industry toolsDevelop and maintain testbenches and verification environmentsIntegrate FPGA designs with embedded processors and hardware systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teamsTroubleshoot hardware issues using lab equipmentOptimize designs for performance and timing closureDocument designs, test results, and system architectureRequired QualificationsActive Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field3-10+ years of FPGA design experienceProficiency in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilogExperience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx Vivado, Client Quartus)Strong understanding of digital design and embedded systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience with DSP, RF, or communications systemsExperience with FPGA SoCs (e.g., Xilinx Zynq)Knowledge of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, AXI)Familiarity with verification methodologies (UVM, DO-254)Programming experience (Python, C/C++, MATLAB)Experience working in Linux environmentsWork EnvironmentOn-site or hybrid role in the Atlanta / Marietta, GA area, supporting classified defense projects.Razor is an EEO Employer• Razor is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
