Performs patient care, administrative tasks, and triage in accordance with regulatory standards and established protocols. Leads and supports orthopedic team members to ensure efficient clinical operations and effective patient flow. Communicates significant clinical issues to leadership and assists with new employee orientation and training. Manages patient movement to optimize provider efficiency and quality care across all age populations.Essential Functions• Assists medical staff with examinations, treatments, and procedures according to nursing guidelines.• Prepares patients for visits by obtaining vitals, medical history, and updating health maintenance information.• Prepares, administers, and documents medications following established policies and safety practices.• Collects specimens and gathers pertinent health data for laboratory analysis and assessment.• Provides and documents patient and family education based on care, treatment, and identified risks.• Performs nursing procedures and basic patient care as permitted by licensure and assigned by medical staff.• Manages medical records, ensures clinical area security, and maintains accurate documentation.• Acts as a leader for the orthopedic team, supporting daily operations and anticipating clinical needs.• Performs other duties as assigned.Education RequirementHigh school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical trainingAssociate's degree in nursing is preferredExperience Requirement0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant areaAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.All experience must be paid and in the same related field.Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.Certifications & LicensuresCurrent and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, Casting Certified based on assigned areaWorking ConditionsA.
