Medical Coding Representative

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Coder to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and servicing our clients, specifically in the areas of medical billing and collections. Your primary responsibility will involve reviewing coding from physicians, operative reports and inquiries from AR team. Responsibilities: - Use payer portals and websites to determine specific payer coding rules - Assist in crafting detailed appeals to challenge claim denials or underpayments - Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries - Notify teams of coding updates - Utilize Practice Management system and payer portals effectively to process billing tasks - Navigate Explanation of Benefits and other insurance correspondence efficiently - Meet daily productivity goals to ensure optimal performance - Undertake any additional duties as assigned Education and Experience: - Previous experience in revenue cycle office operations, specifically in orthopedics, pain management, spine surgery, plastic surgery preferred. - CPC or equivalent Qualifications: - Proficient in using Outlook, Word, and Excel for efficient workflow management - Possess a positive, outgoing personality with a "can-do" attitude - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously - Analytical mindset to assess information and provide appropriate responses - Self-motivated learner with a passion for staying updated with industry trends To learn more about our company, please visit our website: www.spsrcm.com Join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional medical billing and collections services.
