Staffing Branch Manager

That means your recruiters have what theyneed to fill orders efficiently and well, your clients trust that our client delivers on its commitments, and your team is developing, engaged, and proud of the work they do. You will also carry P&Lresponsibility for your branch and contribute to business development, but those outcomes are theresult of building something operationally strong, not the starting point. WHAT YOU WILL DOOperations and Team Leadership (This Is the Core of the Role) • Build and maintain the operational systems that allow your recruiting team to source, screen, place, and retain talent efficiently and with consistency. • Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters and onsite coordinators. You know thedifference between managing and developing, and you practice the latter. • Create a branch culture where accountability is clear, feedback flows in both directions, andpeople feel invested in the outcomes they are driving. • Identify gaps in recruiter performance early and address them directly, with coaching first andclarity always. • Ensure full compliance with all operational policies, employment law, and industry regulations. You protect the branch and the people in it. • Monitor key operational metrics including fill rates, time-to-fill, retention, and order coverage, and take action when the numbers are telling you something. • Oversee onsite coordinators and ensure client sites are staffed, supported, and runningsmoothly.Client Retention and Relationship Management • Serve as a trusted partner to existing clients, not just a vendor. You know their business, anticipate their needs, and solve problems before they escalate. • Conduct regular client check-ins and business reviews to ensure satisfaction and uncoveropportunities to deepen the relationship. • Respond to service issues with urgency and ownership. When something goes wrong, clientshear from you first. • Collaborate with your team to ensure every placement reflects the quality standard our clientis known for. Business Development (Complementary to Operations, Not Competing With It) • Expand the branch's footprint by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities withinyour market. • Attend community and networking events to build relationships and represent our clientauthentically in your market. • Partner with the Regional Manager on strategic sales campaigns and market growthinitiatives. • Leverage your operational credibility with prospects. The best pitch you have is a branch thatruns well and clients who will say so. Financial Oversight • Own the P&L for your branch and actively manage expenses to protect profitability. • Participate in annual business planning and contribute to branch revenue and gross profittargets.• Maximize billable hours through smart operational execution and strong client relationships. • Report on financial performance to the Regional Manager with transparency andaccountability. WHAT YOU BRING• Direct experience in light industrial staffing is required. You understand this workforce, these clients, and the operational rhythm of this market. This is not a role where youlearn the industry on the job. • Three or more years of leadership or management experience in light industrial staffing. Direct experience in this space is required. You understand the workforce, the clients, thepace, and what it takes to keep a branch running well in this environment. • Proven ability to build, coach, and retain a team. You have developed people who went on todo great things and you take pride in that. • Operational instincts. You know how to build structure, identify inefficiencies, and createprocesses that scale without killing culture. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. You read people well, you listen before youtalk, and you know how to have hard conversations with care.• Experience managing P&L or carrying financial accountability for a branch, location, orterritory. • A calm, grounded presence under pressure. This environment moves fast and the peoplearound you will look to you to set the tone. • Business development experience or comfort. You do not need to be a natural salesperson, but you need to be comfortable building relationships and asking for business. • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to client sites and community events asneeded. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new platforms and tools.
