Job Title: Communications Lead (Information Technology/Cybersecurity/Cloud)Pay Rate: $56 to $64.66/HrDuration: 6 MonthsLocation: Irvine, CA (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote in a Week - Hybrid schedule: Generally Monday–Thursday onsite, with some variability)Our client, a global leader in medical device manufacturing, is seeking a Communications Lead (Information Technology/Cybersecurity/Cloud)Lead to join its Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team. This role is ideal for a communications, marketing, instructional design, or training professional who has experience supporting Information Security or IT organizations.As the Cybersecurity Communications Lead, you will serve as the bridge between technical cybersecurity teams and employees across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be translating complex cybersecurity topics into clear, engaging, and actionable communications, training programs, and awareness campaigns that strengthen the organization's security culture. This is a communications-focused cybersecurity role—not a hands-on technical security engineering position.Lead enterprise-wide cybersecurity communications and employee awareness initiatives.Create, update, and deliver engaging cybersecurity training content using Articulate and Learning Management Systems (LMS).Develop clear, business-friendly communications that simplify technical security concepts for non-technical audiences.Coordinate phishing awareness campaigns and manage phishing simulation activities using platforms such as Hoxhunt.Monitor training completion, compliance metrics, and campaign effectiveness through reporting and analytics.Partner closely with Information Security, HR, Corporate Communications, and business stakeholders to drive security awareness initiatives.Maintain cybersecurity training content within SharePoint and Learning Management Systems.Manage the shared security training inbox and respond to employee training and awareness inquiries.Organize cybersecurity awareness events, workshops, webinars, and annual security awareness campaigns.Continuously improve employee engagement through creative communications and instructional design best practices.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Education, Information Systems, or a related discipline.3+ years of experience in cybersecurity communications, security awareness, IT communications, or Information Security training.Strong experience translating technical cybersecurity concepts into clear, engaging communications for business audiences.Hands-on experience developing eLearning content using Articulate or similar instructional design tools.Experience supporting Learning Management Systems (Workday LMS experience is a plus).Experience managing or supporting cybersecurity awareness programs, phishing simulations, and employee education initiatives.Experience with phishing platforms such as Hoxhunt or similar solutions.Instructional Design and curriculum development experience.Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.Excellent project coordination, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.Nice-to-Have Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience working within an Information Security or IT department.Experience with Workday Learning, Learning Path, or other enterprise LMS platforms.SharePoint content management experience.Experience creating cybersecurity awareness campaigns from concept through execution.Experience planning and facilitating enterprise-wide learning events, workshops, or awareness programs.Experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare, life sciences, or medical devices.What Success Looks LikeQuickly delivering high-quality cybersecurity communications in time-sensitive situations.Building strong partnerships with Information Security, HR, and business stakeholders.Improving employee engagement and participation in security awareness initiatives.Increasing training completion rates and phishing awareness through effective communications.Translating technical cybersecurity risks into simple, actionable guidance that employees can easily understand and apply.
