Process Controls Engineer

Job Title: Process Controls Engineer Job Type: Full-time direct hire Job Location: Gouverneur, NY (Onsite) Salary: Depends on Experience Work Authorisation: US Citizen/GC Job Description The Process Control Engineer is responsible for the control system equipment, system software, and application software that control the process; working with operating departments to implement control strategies for new process equipment; modifying/enhancing controls on existing process equipment; working with maintenance personnel and operations to identify and resolve problems with process equipment to allow the process to operate within specified limits. Qualifications And Required Experience Must have a minimum of a BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Pulp/Paper Science) Minimum of five (5) years process control experience desired. Good working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (Allen Bradley PLC5 and ControLogix) is a plus Firm foundation in industrial process knowledge. Pulp and Paper desired Experience with instrumentation and electrical systems associated with process control systems Excellent computer skills – particularly Microsoft including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, Power point Highly competent in data analysis and use of process data historians such as OSI PI and Honeywell PHD Understand P&ID drawings, loop sheets, and motor elementaries and can create these drawings as necessary to support project work and to maintain existing drawing using AutoCad or equivalent drawing tools Job Type: Full-time Pay: $63,616.80 - $138,111.45 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Experience level: 6 years Schedule: 8 hour shift Work setting: In-person Manufacturing facility Ability to commute/relocate: Gouverneur, NY 13642: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Application Question(s): Experience working with Pulp and Paper manufacturing industrial Experience: Distributed Control Systems: 5 years (Required) Process Controls: 5 years (Required) PLC (Allen Bradley PLC5 and ControLogix): 5 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
