Data ScientistJames Scott, LLC is actively searching for an experienced Data Scientist to provide support to one of its top tier customers. The selected Data Scientist will serve in a key role and aid and support in creating automated processes to include development of workflow using both legacy and advanced tools for examination and functionality and identify and provide solutions when addressing Department of Defense and Intel Community problems. Selected candidate must be highly passionate to work on modern architectures.Duties and Responsibilities:Engage with both structured and unstructured datasets in a modeling and analytics context to develop efficient processes for evaluating complex data sources and addressing unique intelligence challengesLead and contribute to the creation of new solutions, as well as the enhancement of existing onesCollaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and program managers to break down road map items into actionable tasks, provide time and resource estimates, propose solutions, and assess riskApply exploratory data analysis techniques to extract insights, patterns, and correlations from complex datasetsIntegrate math, coding, and analytics to derive actionable insights for decision-makersResearch and apply optimization frameworks and strategies to inform both data management and analytical activitiesUse big data tools to process and interpret diverse datasets, generating meaningful insightsConduct peer reviews to raise the quality of workflows and analytical approachesMentor team members and contribute to building a high-performing, technically skilled workforceRequired Qualifications:8-10 years of related experience; Additional experience may substitute for education levelActive DoD TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, or CI Poly eligibleExperience supporting Intelligence CommunitySenior to SME level ability to work with both structured and unstructured dataNotable experience in database development and data miningSolid experience leveraging government-off-the-shelf data processing and analytics tools to modernize methodologiesProficiency with commercial off-the-shelf statistical tools such as Tableau, MapLarge, and/or MATLAB for data visualization and complex statistical analyticsHands-on experience with advanced analytical methods, and a track record of applying them to meet client needsDemonstrated experience leading technical teams in solving intelligence and analytical problemsFamiliarity and knowledge in specialized technology research methods to support operation needs and tasksGeodatabase development using .NET, Python, C++, or JavaWeb services architecture, design, and developmentPreferred Experience:BS or master's degree in data science or a closely related technical disciplineBackground in developing and implementing AI/ML technologies and solutionsAdvanced programming experience using tools such as HTML5/JavaScript, ArcObjects, Python, Model Builder, Oracle, SQL, GIScience, Statistical tools, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, or ArcIMSExperience in programming for web interfacesSome familiarity in building and maintaining databases for GEOINT, OSINT, or SIGINT, to align with mission sets and needsProficiency in visualizing data through Network Analytics or Matrix, graphical data tools, and creating operational pictures that support assessments and intelligence products
