Process Engineer – Capital Projects (CIP / Food & Beverage)

Job OverviewWe are seeking experienced Process Engineers to support capital projects across multiple manufacturing sites. This role focuses on process design, installation, and commissioning of production systems, particularly for color change manufacturing in a Food & Beverage environment.Candidates will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful execution of projects from design through startup.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support process design and implementation for capital projects (non-R&D)Collaborate with third-party engineering firms and OEMs for system design and executionCoordinate with cross-functional teams including Controls, Automation, and OperationsOversee equipment installation, contractor activities, and on-site executionSupport commissioning, startup, and process validationEnsure compliance with CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems and hygienic design standardsTroubleshoot process and equipment issues during installation and startupReview and contribute to P&IDs, process documentation, and system layoutsRequired Qualifications (Must-Have)Strong experience with CIP (Clean-In-Place) systemsHands-on experience in process design, installation, and capital projectsExperience with:Mixing technologyLiquid distribution systemsDosing systemsProven experience working in manufacturing environments (not R&D-focused roles)Strong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractorsPreferred QualificationsExperience in Food & Beverage manufacturing (highly preferred)Pharmaceutical experience with some F&B exposure (acceptable)Knowledge of hygienic design and regulated environments (FDA/GMP)Experience with product changeover or color change systemsFamiliarity with commissioning and startup activities
