Executive Director

Govig Healthcare Group, the leading executive search firm in senior housing, has been retained by a premier senior living organization to find the next Executive Director for a well established assisted living and memory care community located in the Greater Philadelphia area.The Executive Director will be responsible for stabilizing operations, building trust with residents and families, and driving occupancy growth. This role requires a highly visible, hospitality-focused leader who can set the tone culturally, support the sales process, and ensure strong communication across residents, families, and staff.ResponsibilitiesProvide overall operational leadership for the community, including clinical, sales, and administrative functionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and local referral sourcesPartner closely with the sales team to drive census growth and improve occupancyLead and develop a full management team while fostering accountability and engagementEnsure compliance with all state regulatory requirements and company standardsCreate a culture centered on hospitality, responsiveness, and high-touch customer serviceAddress reputation challenges by improving communication, consistency, and overall experienceQualificationsProven experience as an Executive Director or in a comparable leadership role within assisted living, memory care, or a similarly regulated healthcare environmentStrong operational acumen, with the ability to step into a community in transition and drive measurable improvementDemonstrated leadership presence with the ability to build trust, engage teams, and effectively connect with residents and familiesTrack record of success in customer service and relationship management, particularly in high-expectation environmentsSales-oriented mindset, with the ability to partner effectively with the sales team to support occupancy growthExperience working with diverse resident populationsSolid understanding of regulatory requirements, ideally within states known for higher compliance standards
