Job Description:The resources provided will require a good understanding of the Automotive Assembly Process in a final assembly plant environment.This support is expected to coordinate the efforts of the WPI process to ensure that all organizations supporting the launch are coordinating efforts to best support the operator and provide a successful launch.Responsibilities:Provide scope of workstation level layouts for contractor install requirementsBecome trained on SMI105 to incorporate safety requirements into the layout and scope of workProvide weekly reports as required for the Steering Committee of the launch specialist deliverablesMonitor efforts with the plant launch team to ensure that they are engaged in achieving deliverables (BOE - Book of Evidence).Coordinate station changes needed to resolve quality and throughput issues, through updates to the station layout and coordination with the VPE (Vehicle Process Engineering) Facilities team and plant maintenance department.Prepare launch status reports as needed for executive reviews.Utilize RMS to track all issues associated with the launch and ensure that each group is participating with the process.Follow pilot builds to document any issues with product or process during the build phases and follow through closure.Schedule and lead problem solving workshopsPerform line lead responsibilities to ensure all station deliverables are completed (based on the plan of record scope of work).Requirements:Proficient in MS Office / Google Suite applicationsExperience working in a union environmentEffective communication and presentation skills2D/3D AutoCAD requiredTeamcenter recommendedIt is anticipated that Launch Specialists will have varying skill and experience levels."WPI Experiences " - "Workplace Integration ExperiencesEducation:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field experienceSenior Level5+ years of automotive assembly and project management experience2+ years of leadership experienceIntermediate Level3+ years of manufacturing experience1+ years Automotive Assembly experience preferredAssociate LevelAutomotive assembly knowledgeWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
