Cascade AIDS Projectis excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team oriented Major Gifts Officer. As a member of the Leadership Team this position is vital to our fundraising efforts, focusing on cultivating and stewarding relationships with major donors to secure significant philanthropic contributions in support of our programs and initiatives.
This is a Full-Time role working at our Davis St. location in the Old Town area or Portland, OR. All Development staff work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 16 hours per week in the office at CAP Davis St. This role will flex this time based upon donor meeting schedules.The Major Gifts Officer will work evenings and weekends at times and is provided flexibility in their schedule outside of a typical 8:30-5:00 day.
Compensation for this role is $80,000.
Who You Are
Proven record of success in acquiring five and six figure gifts for nonprofit organizations.
A minimum of five years experience in nonprofit development major gift solicitation
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong understanding of donor relations and stewardship principles.
Successful experience using data systems including wealth screening tools to drive gift solicitation initiatives.
Experience managing a diverse donor portfolio.
What Youll Do
Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors capable of making significant financial contributions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current major donors, ensuring personalized engagement and stewardship through a variety of engagements.
Implement strategies to upgrade donors to higher giving levels over time.
Collaborate with the Director of Development, Chief Development Officer, and Development Systems Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Manage portfolio creation and maintenance for organization leadership (DoD, CDO, CEO).
Create tailored cultivation and solicitation plans for individual major donors.
