Lean Coach
We are seeking an experienced Shopfloor Excellence Coach with an aerospace manufacturing background to support the deployment of sustainable operational excellence practices within aircraft production. This role focuses on coaching frontline and mid-level leadership, embedding standard work, continuous improvement behaviors, and performance management routines directly on the shop floor to drive measurable and lasting operational results.
Key Responsibilities
Shopfloor Coaching & Leadership Enablement
Coach Level 1 and Level 2 leaders in daily operational leadership and execution.
Clarify operational requirements and expectations for production teams.
Deliver hands-on, on-the-job training for leaders and operational teams.
Establish and sustain effective management routines and governance structures.
Operational Excellence Deployment
Implement standard shopfloor visual management and performance boards.
Define and deploy clear Terms of Reference (ToR) for routines, meetings, and escalation.
Conduct process confirmations using standardized checklists.
Perform periodic self-assessments against defined criteria.
Continuous Improvement & Performance Management
Support Hoshin Kanri and strategy deployment activities.
Develop and deploy KPI trees and performance management systems.
Drive measurable benefits realization and long-term sustainability.
Documented, sustainable operational excellence deployment, including:
Standard routines and agendas implemented
Terms of Reference established
Industrial assessments completed
Active and effective KPI governance
Required Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing (OEM, Tier 1, or MRO).
Proven experience in shopfloor coaching, lean deployment, or operational excellence.
Hands-on experience with visual management, daily management systems, VSM, KPI systems, and leadership coaching in production environments.
Technical & Methodological Skills
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops.
Ability to translate strategic objectives into shopfloor execution.
Structured, data-driven, and results-oriented approach.
Soft Skills
Strong coaching, influencing, and facilitation skills at supervisor and manager levels.
High ownership, pragmatism, and cultural awareness.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
