Washington County is seeking a dependable and motivated Deputy Treasurer to join our Treasurer's Office team. This position plays a key role in serving the public, processing property tax payments, managing county revenues, and supporting daily financial operations. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced office environment where accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork matter, we encourage you to apply.What You'll DoReceive and process tax payments and county revenues.Post payments and maintain accurate financial records.Prepare receipts, bank deposits, and daily balancing reports.Assist customers in person and over the phone with tax-related questions.Process electronic payments and credit card transactions.Research tax accounts, delinquent taxes, and refund requests.Support audits and maintain compliance with state and county regulations.Prepare financial reports and update fund balances.What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent.Background in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or related fields.Two years of progressively responsible office or financial experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch.Bonus SkillsExperience with cash handling and balancing cash drawers is a plus.Experience processing payments, reconciling accounts, or working with financial records is highly desirable.A complete job description can be found on our website:https://www.washco.utah.gov/forms/human-resources/jobs/Only Applications submitted online by May 21, 2026will be accepted.Washington County is an Equal Opportunity Employer
