Key Accounts Manager, Costco/Club Channel
The Costco/Club Channel sales team at Gaviña Coffee Company is growing, opening up a rare and exciting opportunity for a Key Accounts Manager to join us and oversee operations. The right person will report to our VP of National Sales and be responsible for managing and growing sales for all Gaviña Coffee brands, focusing specifically within Costco, Sam’s Club and BJs, to maximize sales and profitability within the Club Channel. The right candidate will have direct experience within the Club Channel sales industry and be able to express to us how they will be the best person to tackle these essential functions and more:What we need you to do:Develop and execute strategic account plans for Club Store accounts to achieve sales targets, expand market share, and source new sales partnerships including Costco.com.Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within these accounts, including buyers, brokers, club store managers, merchandising managers, and executive leadership,Conduct regular business reviews with accounts to track performance, identify opportunities and forecasts, and address any challenges.Negotiate and manage contracts with Club Store accounts, ensuring favorable terms, conditions, and product positioning.Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of sales and marketing initiatives.Direct and develop the overall operations of the Road Show in-store demo team, coaching the Lead to ensure that all tasks are done according to appropriate SOPs and Food Safety regulations.Travel to club roadshows throughout the regions to meet with club store managers and monitor Road Show performance, addressing any issues that may have been escalated by the Road Show Lead.Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and develop innovative sales strategies, and report findings to internal leadership.Coordinate the responsibilities of the Costco Customer Success Representative to ensure effective performance of duties related to merchandising, pricing, new items, competitor activities, coffee grinder programs and roadshows.Represent the company and promoting brand visibility at local and out of state trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.Invite customers, brokers, VIPs and other potential business partners to tour company operations.Additional duties as assigned by leadership for the efficient operation of the Club Channel divisionSkills we need you to have:Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong negotiation and closing skills with experience in contract laws and principles.Proficient in analyzing data and identifying trends.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record and be able to travel locally and out of state as required.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Strong problem-solving skills.Results-oriented and driven to achieve sales targets.Deep understanding of sales principles and practices.Effective presentation skills to build consensus and influence others.Ability to leverage AI-driven tools and technologies to support sales strategy, reporting, and decision-making.Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in key account management within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry. Candidates must have direct experience in the Club channel (e.g., Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s)• Experience managing a sales team or mentoring junior sales representatives is a plus.Perks for this role include opportunities to earn bonuses, 401k & Profit Sharing, and access to our generous health benefits.
