Direct Support Professional

Direct support professional (DSP) offering services for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Lake County. The person who chooses this career must be motivated to provide the constant assurance of health and safety and active engagement with our individuals. Duties included are direct support of individuals including assisting with personal care and bathing as appropriate to individual needs. DSP will also provide individuals assistance with preparing meals and maintaining a clean living environment. Other potential duties may include transporting individuals to work or school and transporting and attending doctor appointments and recreational activities with the individuals.
