Overview
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Testing Engineer/Developer or Senior Testing Engineer/Developer to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).
The Testing Engineer/Developer or Senior Testing Engineer/Developer develops, designs and/or modifies operating facility web-based applications and related software applications; is involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards; evaluates interface between operational requirements, hardware and software, and characteristics of overall system; documents testing and maintenance of system corrections; designs and maintains web based, mobile technology, cloud, and security interface to meet the specific software needs of users.
Responsibilities
Analyze system requirements and devise testing strategies to optimize test coverage and schedule efficiency
Work with business analysts to develop testing options and strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
Create, implement, execute, and document software tests for highly complex software, utilizing the established testing infrastructure
Analyze historical, current and ongoing bug reports to identify areas requiring attention
Work with software developers and/or the business analysts to resolve software defects
Participate in setting software quality standards that span the entire software development life cycle, including documentation, development methods, testing, and maintenance
Identify, document, and ensure resolution of software issues using Azure Devops or Git
Review and identify gaps and deficiencies in technical specifications, designs and testing documentation for completeness and testability
Create and maintain automated test scripts to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency and coverage

Additional Information
The duties and responsibilities of this position require access to the Savannah River Site (SRS) IT computer network. DOE-NNSA requires SRMC employees to have U.S. citizenship in order to access the SRS IT computer network system.
Qualifications
High school diploma with relevant practical experience
Experience with web-based Application Development using .Net technology
Knowledge of the structure and query functionality of SQL databases
Candidate(s) selected to receive an offer will be offered the position level commensurate with their experience and qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of practical work experience; or
Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of practical work experience
Experience with Git and Azure Devops
Experience with C#, JavaScript, AJAX, Web Services
Experience with automated testing tools, e.g. Selenium
Working knowledge of software quality assurance methodology, testing techniques and approaches relating to desktop and web applications
Proficient in writing software test strategies and test plans
Skilled in collaborating with customers and project leads to identify test scenarios based on software requirements
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, including explaining technical details to non-technical individuals
Familiarity with best practices for network, application, and data security

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor.
