In this self-contained setting, you will provide specialized instruction and comprehensive case management for a small caseload of students. The ideal candidate is passionate about student advocacy, skilled in IEP development and compliance, and ready to make a tangible difference in a supportive, student-centered environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Support:Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or similar student support plans (e.g., Service Plans, Accommodation Plans) based on student needs and school protocols.Provide direct, specialized instruction (individual or small group) to students in academic, behavioral, and functional skill areas.Consult with and support general education teachers in modifying curriculum, implementing accommodations, and employing effective instructional strategies.Case Management & Compliance:Serve as the primary case manager, coordinating all required meetings (initial evaluations, annual reviews, etc.) and ensuring all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with state and federal regulations (as applicable to independent schools) or school policy.Facilitate effective communication among students, parents, teachers, and administration regarding student progress and needs.Administer and interpret diagnostic assessments and track student progress toward goals, reporting regularly to stakeholders.Collaboration & Professionalism:Participate in school-wide professional development, departmental meetings, and student support team meetings.Maintain strong communication and partnership with parents, serving as a resource and guide.Contribute positively to the school culture and mission.Certification: Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for one).
