The Department of Occupational Therapy supports the mission of UTRGV by preparing doctorate-level professionals capable of meeting the challenges of health care and community environments and the unique needs of a growing international and multicultural population of the South Texas region. A doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field (e.g., public health, education, psychology, medicine, sociology, etc.) * PhD, DrPH, EdD, OTD, DrOT) * One year experience in a full and/or part-time academic appointment * Evidence of engagement in research/scholarly activities and teaching * Candidates who are not occupational therapy practitioners must be licensed or otherwise regulated as required by their profession. Associate/Professor Level * A doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field (e.g., PhD, DrPH, EdD, OTD, DrOT) * 3-year experience in a full-time academic appointment * Evidence of research and scholarly achievement * Evidence of submitting and obtaining external grant funding * Candidates who are not occupational therapy practitioners must be licensed or otherwise regulated as required by their profession. * The desired individual should have a demonstrated foundation in one or more of the following areas - public health, population health, research, or occupational-based education and practice.
