Residential Construction MEP Designer

We're Hiring Residential Mechanical Designers ARCXIS (formerly DPIS Engineering, LLC.) is full-service engineering and third-party inspection service in the residential industry providing services to mostly single and multi-family homebuilders nationwide. Job Type This is an entry-level designer position, but experienced designers and engineers are encouraged to apply. Full Time in one of the following locations: Houston, TX Essential Functions of the Job: Job duties will be to produce mechanical, electrical, plumbing or structural designs and final construction documents in AutoCAD Prepare Construction Documents in AutoCAD Work with design staff and drafters to complete projects PREFERRED Competencies: Wrightsoft (mechanical designers) AutoCAD Elite The ability to read blueprints Compute dimensions from architectural plans Detail oriented Ability to work well with other engineers/designers Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Energy and building code compliance for mechanical systems. Fluent in California Title 24, ICC International Codes, and Uniform building codes Drive deadlines in dynamic and fast-moving environments. Team players with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organization levels. Self-directed, with good initiative and a great multi-tasker Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft word, Excel, etc…) Requirements Education, Experience, and Qualifications: Preferred 1+ years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or structural design for residential building systems, code compliance, and construction, or education in related field. This is an entry-level designer position, but experienced designers and engineers are encouraged to apply for other positions we may have available. Compensation will be determined based on experience.
