Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join the System Analysis Team.
Responsibilities
• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Focus on Mass Properties Analyses and Integration, assessing systematic mass reduction opportunities and ensuring accurate mass, center of gravity (CG), moment of inertia (MOI), and related data throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct system‑level analyses at all stages of the product life cycle: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Convert customer or product requirements into total system solutions that balance technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of related experience in Systems Integration functions
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Experience with Systems Integration, Test and/or Verification
Test planning and execution with an understanding of all interdependencies
Desired Skills
Mass properties calculations (Weight, Center of Gravity, Moment of Inertia)
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and solid modeling applications (IDEAS, CREO, or SolidWorks)
Programming experience with MATLAB, Mathcad, VBA, or Python
Contribution to weight control and reduction efforts
Support for weight reduction applications, writing mass properties procedures, practices, and/or specifications
Collaboration with integrated product teams, engineering fields, technicians, subcontractors, and customers
Familiarity with production environment, crane operations, manufacturing and assembly techniques & processes
Prior spacecraft or aircraft testing experience preferred
Data reduction and simple error analysis
Systems thinking skills and behaviors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members
Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate : Annual base salary range (California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC): $89,300 – $157,550. Salary in other states will reflect the final work location.
