Screen Printing and Heat Press Operator

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Screen Printing and Heat Press Operator to join our creative production team. This role involves operating screen printing and heat press equipment to produce high-quality custom apparel and promotional items. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, digital art, and printing techniques, with a keen eye for color accuracy and visual aesthetics. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and related design tools is highly desirable to ensure precise execution of designs and branding specifications. Duties Set up, operate, and maintain screen printing and heat press machinery to produce custom designs on various substrates. Prepare artwork files using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or other graphic design software, ensuring accurate color matching and layout. Manage the entire printing process from design transfer to final quality check, ensuring consistency and adherence to client specifications. Collaborate with the art direction team to review digital designs, mockups, and prototypes before production. Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols for handling inks, chemicals, and machinery. Assist in developing new design concepts using digital art techniques, typography, motion graphics, or 3D animation as needed. Stay updated on industry trends in screen printing, fashion design, web design, interior design, or related fields to enhance production quality. Experience Proven experience operating screen printing presses and heat press machines in a commercial or artistic setting. Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with digital design principles. Knowledge of color theory, visual design principles, typography, layout design, and print advertising is preferred. Experience with CAD software such as SketchUp or Maya for 3D modeling or interior/fashion/production design is a plus. Background in graphic design, digital art, motion graphics (Adobe After Effects), or web development (HTML/CSS) will be considered advantageous. Ability to interpret artwork files accurately and prepare them for high-quality printing output.
