HSC Adjunct Faculty Member - NMW Position Description: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing is dedicated to training knowledgeable and compassionate nurses and nurse practitioners. The Adjunct Faculty Member supports the mission of TTUHSC School of Nursing through excellence in teaching, service, and scholarly engagement. Adjunct Faculty in this role support the Graduate Program by delivering high quality instruction in didactic or clinical, laboratory, simulation lab, and online settings, while participating in curriculum planning, academic advising, and professional development. This position has a hybrid remote schedule for your convenience. Major/Essential Functions Maintains academic standards as established by the school and the university. Reports directly to the Associate Dean/Department Chair. Teaches one or more subjects as assigned by the academic unit within prescribed curriculum. Teaches students in online, clinical, laboratory and classroom settings. Assumes responsibility for and/or participates in the planning and organization of courses to which assigned. Provides regular, ongoing evaluation of advanced practice student clinical competency in on-campus intensives or in assigned clinical settings appropriate to the population specialty track. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate in Nursing or related discipline. Expertise in the delivery of Masters nursing education. Demonstrated success in faculty role as a distance educator and can provide instruction via a variety of instructional modalities. Leadership experience related to the coordination of teaching activities. Experience with curriculum, instructional design and implementation, including online education and clinical education. Required Qualifications Master's in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited university required. Current RN/APRN licensure in the State of Texas. National certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife required. Holds national certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with at least five (5) years of clinical experience in the advanced practice nursing role. Pay Salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills. Pay Basis: Monthly. Pay Grade Maximum: Salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills. Pay Grade Minimum: Salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills. Work Location Lubbock. Shift: Day. Travel Required: None. Job Type: Part Time.
