Part time Teacher of Visually Impaired

CIU 10, a premiere educational service agency in Central Pennsylvania, is seeking a part time Itinerant Teacher of Visually Impaired for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of an earned bachelor’s degree with PA Public School certification in TVI. Duties may include but are not limited to: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs, including curriculum development for literacy, math, and early childhood education. Deliver specialized instruction in visually impaired education, incorporating learning technology, sensory integration, and adaptive tools. Conduct assessments using standardized testing and provide progress reports to parents and educational teams. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate instructional design principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Provide tutoring and academic advising to help students achieve their educational goals. Maintain clear communication with families regarding student progress and collaborate on IEP goals related to childhood development and child welfare.
