Analyst Schedule Planning
Position Summary:The Analyst Schedule Planning is an essential member of the Schedule Planning Team, involved in the analysis and build-out of the airline’s schedules. This role involves collaborating closely with teams across the organization, and helps to ensure schedules align to meet the company's operating metrics.Essential Responsibilities:Maintains JetBlue’s cadenced schedule processGenerates schedule proposals to all Operating departments to ensure final monthly schedules align with operating constraints, cost targets, fleet plan, staffing plans and meets the company’s operating metricsWorks closely with the Route Planning team reviewing schedule patterns and adjusting schedules to align with anticipated passenger demand and profit and loss (P&L) performance in new and existing marketsCoordinates functions of the Scheduling Team with the functions of other departments internal and external to the Planning Department to ensure that the needs and accomplishments of the department embrace the vision of the companyCreates ad-hoc schedule scenarios to support Commercial and Operational projects and analysisWorks with all operating departments to help them fully understand the schedule and put it to actionOther duties may include supporting other commercial teams with ad-hoc planning requests and producing daily/weekly/monthly reportsOther duties as assignedMinimum Experience and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in an Aviation related field, Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, Hospitality, Engineering, Logistics, Computer Studies, or a related discipline; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experienceOne (1) year of analytical experienceAbility to effectively manage numerous schedules and resolve scheduling issues independently under tight deadlines on an ongoing basisStrong written and verbal communication abilityCandidates must demonstrate analysis, interpretation, and communication skills in a work sample assessmentAvailable for overnight travel (10%)Must pass a pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
