Job Title: Project Engineer II / Facilities EngineerLocation: Research Triangle Park, NC – 27709Duration: 6 MonthsPay Rate: $30/hr - $41/hr on W2Job Description:Our client is a leading, clinical-stage gene therapy company founded in 2001 with a focus on neuromuscular, central nervous system, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases with clinical trials underway for Pompe disease, Parkinson's disease, and congestive heart failure.Key Responsibilities:Work with Facilities & Engineering team to manage and maintain proper building functionality inside and outside of laboratories including but not limited to, emergency and non-emergency power systems, HVAC units, cold storage, RODI water systems, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and other major utilities systemsPerform daily site walk through and verify functional check on all major systems and utilities that are critical to our daily operationsAssist with monitoring the building management system (BMS) as needed, investigate the issue(s), and follow procedures for the appropriate solution according to the issue(s)Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment or utilities problems, document findings and report back to the Facilities & Engineering team to work through a solution. Execute facilitating the solution if the task has been assigned to you to carry outAttend weekly Facilities & Engineering stand-up team meetings and update team on status of individual action itemsParticipate in key project planning meetings with capital projects along with the facilities team, raising concerns and pursuing resolutions during project planning meetings, implementation, and delivery of assigned projectsSupport project delivery and monitor progress through assigned project deliverables, providing updates and recommendations to the internal engineering teamManage and maintain timely completion of service ticket requests from all internal usersCoordinate with the internal customer on status updates of complex issues that develop into projects from work ordersCollaborate across departments such as EH&S, QA, Lab Operations and Capital Projects to achieve group success in a number of stakeholder and vendor facing challengesWork to comply with safety initiatives set forth by EH&S to ensure departmental and organizational complianceAssist lab operations and department requests for equipment setup within various labs across the organizationAbout you:BS/BA required.4-7 years' experience in Engineering/Facilities role required.Background in mechanical or electrical engineering a plus.Strong building utilities systems & HVAC experience preferred with working knowledge and experience using BMS systems.Prior pharma & experience working in a laboratoryPossess basic office skills using a PC and working with MS office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Skills and experience utilizing CMMS systems, CAD, and other Design programs a plusSelf-motivated, organized, individual capable of working independently as well as a team contributor.Strong oral and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with teams, internally and externally.Should you have any questions, feel free to call me on (415) 322-5419 or send an email onThanks and RegardsAkarsh YathirajSenior RecruiterC.(415) 322-5419D.(415) 322-5419A.611 Gateway Blvd, Ste 120South San Francisco, CA 94080W.
