Role description GCP Data Solution Architect Palm Beach Florida Onsite Role Overview We are looking for a high impact GCP Data Solution Architect to define design and lead the delivery of modern scalable and secure data platforms on Google Cloud Platform GCP This role sits at the intersection of architecture delivery and client enablement and will guide large scale data modernization cloud migration and AI ready analytics initiatives The ideal candidate combines deep hands on GCP expertise strong data architecture fundamentals and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while mentoring delivery teams Below are the MUST have skills Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture Design Define end to end data solution architecture on GCP aligned to business security and cost goals Design cloud native data platforms centered on BigQuery Cloud Storage Dataflow Dataproc PubSub and Composer Airflow Create future ready architectures enabling advanced analytics real time processing and AIML use cases Produce High Level Design HLD and Low Level Design LLD artifacts for enterprise programs Data Platform Modernization Migration Lead on prem legacy DW modernization Teradata Oracle SQL Server Hadoop Informatica GCP Translate legacy ETL and SQL logic into modern ELT and streaming patterns Drive adoption of cloud optimized data modeling partitioning clustering denormalization in BigQuery Support phased migrations with minimal business disruption Engineering Governance Best Practices Define and enforce architecture standards guardrails and reusable frameworks Ensure data quality validation lineage cataloging and governance using Dataplex Data Catalog and IAM based security Optimize performance and cost through workload design query optimization and storage strategies Embed CICD DevOps and infrastructure as code best practices Leadership Stakeholder Engagement Act as technical authority and escalation point for complex architectural decisions Partner with business leaders product owners and analytics teams to translate requirements into scalable designs Mentor data engineers and solution designers provide ongoing architectural guidance Required Qualifications 1518 years of experience in data engineering data architecture solution architecture roles Strong hands on expertise in Google Cloud Platform with depth in BigQuery data modeling optimization cost controls GCS Dataflow Dataproc PubSub Composer Lakehouse architecture with Iceberg Advanced SQL expertise and strong Python andor Java skills Solid grounding in data warehousing principles dimensional models ELTETL patterns Proven experience designing enterprise scale multi team data platforms Experience working in Agile hybrid delivery models Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
