CompX Grayslake Job OpportunityCompX Grayslake is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical locking devices, systems for world class original equipment manufacturers and manufacture of precision instruments, throttles, marine products, and accessories.Position Requirements:Setting up, starting and troubleshooting die case molding machines.Ensuring machines are operating effectively and efficiently.Checking and testing castings manufactured in a zinc die cast machine to assure conformance with requirements and specifications.Measuring and visually inspecting products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications.Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges. Turning valves and dials of machine to regulate pressure, temperature, speed, feed rates and to set cycle times.Minimum Skills, Knowledge, Ability and Physical Requirements:High School Diploma, Certification, or some CollegeAbility to lift or move up to 35lbsConstant exposure to indoor manufacturing environmentConstant exposure to moderate noiseConstantly stand and walk throughout the workdayFrequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel materialConstant use hands/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel, or handle and manipulate parts and toolsFrequent repetitive motionsConstant requirement of specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focusConstantly wear eye protectionMechanical and tool use experienceCompX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
