We provide quality resources in four specialty areas: Information Technology (IT), Clinical Research, Rehabilitation Therapy and Nursing.Job DescriptionThe QC Sample Handling Technician will assist a multi-discipline support staff with primary responsibility for receiving, aliquoting, distributing, and handling materials, as well as with documentation of GMP samples in support of multi-product and multi-site testing laboratoriesThe technician may also be expected to assist with GMP data transcription and verification on paper and in electronic systemsAssist the sample handling team with receiving biological sample shipmentsInventory and shipping of in-process, reference and stability materials, which requires handling cold samples for long periods of timeLabel vials with barcodes printed from a laboratory information management system (LIMS)Download temperature information from the shipping temperature monitors to a computer for evaluationMaintain and archive shipping records in accordance with company SOPs.The technician may also be expected to: Transcribe data from one system to another and perform 100% accuracy verification for previously transcribed data.QualificationsAbility to work in a highly regulated environment and comply with GMP expectationsAttention to detail, strong organizational skills in order to start and complete a taskAbility to handle cold samples for long periods of time and cold environments for short periods of timeEffective interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesFamiliar with Microsoft Office Suite, and computer literate enough to quickly learn new systemsAbility to comply with sample handling safety instructionsPrevious experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment is desired, but not required.
