Job Description:Position: Long-Term Substitute Teacher - Secondary - StringsLocation: Downingtown High School East, Downingtown Middle School, and STEM AcademyBenefits Eligible: YesEffective Date: August 21, 2026 until the End of the School YearJob Summary: To develop in each pupil an understanding of the relationship of good body function and exercise; to motivate each pupil to cultivate physical fitness, hygienic habits, and good social and emotional adjustment; to discover and develop talents of pupils in physical achievement; to develop strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual, and team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each pupil's ability and the standards set forth by the school district.Qualifications: (Abbreviated - Please review the attached Job Description for more details on this specific opportunity)Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university and hold a proper Pennsylvania certification for the position.Bachelor's degreeValid PA certification specific to content area.
