Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Primary SchoolLocation: Altrincham, Greater ManchesterPay Rate: £120 - £140 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to FridayStart Date: September 2026Contract: Full-Time, Long-TermWe are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Altrincham from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity running until the end of the academic year, offering the chance to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and senior leaders, delivering interventions, supporting pupils across a range of year groups, and providing whole-class cover when required.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.Provide high-quality classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher.Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons.Lead targeted intervention groups to raise attainment and accelerate progress.Work collaboratively with teachers to support pupil development and achievement.Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive learning environment.RequirementsHLTA status or an equivalent recognised qualification.Previous experience working within a primary school setting.Confidence delivering lessons and managing whole classes independently.Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.What We OfferCompetitive pay rate of £120 - £140 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications.Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.Long-term role providing stability throughout the academic year.Opportunity to work within a supportive and well-established primary school.Ongoing support from a dedicated education recruitment consultant.Valuable experience in a rewarding and varied HLTA position.If you are an enthusiastic and experienced HLTA looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity from September, we would love to hear from you.
