We are locally owned, which allows us to make decisions in the best interest of our patients and our community.With our 60+ experienced Healthcare Professionals, innovative technology, and wide range of services and treatment options we help each patient live his or her best life. ResponsibilitiesOversees surgeon’s office practice, schedules surgeries, and handles patient phone callsWorks closely with outside surgical facilities on orders, pretesting, and H&P’sAssists surgeon with scheduled and call casesWashing & wrapping instruments Assist surgeon with FMLA/STD paperworkFlexibility to float with other surgeons or fill in as neededComply with clerical needs in the office Manages the insurance authorization process with patient’s insuranceShares responsibility for stocking office exam rooms / procedure rooms Follow guidelines of HIPAA in maintaining patient confidentiality Requirements & SkillsCertification(s): Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required; BLS requiredExcellent communication skills requiredHigh attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle fluid changes Experience in an ambulatory setting preferredTeam work and leadership is essential Employment DetailsFull-Time Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pmThis position requires flexibility as it will vary depending on scheduling requirements Taking call is mandatory for the position Benefits Eligible Practice Website: https://www.unityhc.com/practice/lafayette-surgical-clinic/  Unity Healthcare, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer
