With customers' mission-critical needs always in mind, our employees deliver end-to-end technology solutions connecting the space, air, land, sea and cyber domains in the interest of national security.Job Title: Assembly BJob Location: Rochester, NYRequisition ID: 25149Work Schedule: 4/10: Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a weekJob Description: This person will contribute to the company's success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.Essential Functions:Build devices per drawing, routing, and work instructionsAssemble small and large components to form sub-assemblies or completed assemblies using torque drivers, long nose pliers, screw drivers, and soldering ironsMaintains consistent quality and productivity levelsFollow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environmentMaintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain 5S in the areaCross-train new and current employees on all assembly linesIdentify problems and contribute to process improvementsPerform quality checks consistent with the inspection and control plansWillingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environmentWorks as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasksAbility to work overtime as neededAble to transport and move up to 25 lbsTraversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours)Obtain L3Harris provided J-STD-001 Certification within first 90 days of employmentQualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior assembly experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior assembly experience PreferredAdditional Skills: Strong mechanical background Strong customer focus Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the L3Harris E3 continuous improvement process Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Material (BOM)In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $17.75 - $29.81. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
