The ideal candidate brings firsthand experience supporting BD pipelines in government consulting environments, understands how to translate technical and mission-driven work into compelling narratives that resonate with federal buyers and agency partners, and has specific exposure to the federal civilian sector and/or federal health sector. This role serves as the primary driver of Bixal’s marketing and communication strategy, ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all channels. The ideal candidate will be a strategic contributor to growth who possesses strong project management skills who can collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to amplify our brand and engage our audiences and customers.CompensationThe salary range for this role is $105,000 – $110,000. In the spirit of transparency, most offers tend to land near the midpoint of the range. Fairness and transparency are core to how we operate.ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Communication StrategyMaintain and continuously refine Bixal’s marketing and communication strategy to align with business objectives, federal market trends, and agency-specific prioritiesDevelop and manage a comprehensive editorial calendar encompassing LinkedIn social media posts, blog publications, case studies, and Bixal website content with alignment to capture strategy, pipeline priorities, and BDs pursuit and timelinesMonitor performance metrics and adjust communication strategies to maximize engagement and reach with federal decision-makers, contracting officers, and agency partnersContent Development & CoordinationPartner with subject matter experts (SMEs), delivery leads, and BD teams to conceptualize, develop, review, and publish content that directly supports capture efforts and pipeline development in addition to brand awarenessCollaborate with SMEs and project teams to create compelling case studies, capability narratives, and past performance summaries that speak to the priorities of our target federal agencies, framing outcomes in terms of mission impact, compliance, and program performanceEnsure all content aligns with brand voice, messaging framework, and strategic positioning required to compete in IT, digital modernization, and data/analytics marketsSocial Media ManagementCreate and schedule regular social media content across approved channels (primarily LinkedIn) following the editorial calendar with intentional targeting towards federal communities, industry partners, and teaming prospectsDesign engaging social media graphics, including banners, call-out boxes, and other visual assets using tools such as Canva, Pexel, and similar platformsMonitor engagement (primarily LinkedIn) and respond to audience interactions in a timely, professional manner, with particular attention to engagement from agency personnel, policy communities, and federal contractor networksMarketing Collateral & MaterialsDevelop and maintain Bixal slick sheets, one-pagers, and pitch decks that effectively communicate our capabilities and value proposition to our target customersCreate polished marketing materials for use in business development efforts, industry days, conferences, and partnership opportunitiesEnsure all collateral reflects Bixal’s positioning in our target domains and is kept current with our latest past performance and win themesDigital PresenceCoordinate Bixal website updates and improvements in collaboration with design and technical teamsRecommend enhancements to key sections to improve visibility with federal civilian audiences and support lead generation for BDEnsure website content is aligned to customer and partner-aligned messaging and remains fresh, accurate, and aligned with Bixal’s overall communication strategyEmployee Engagement & Information SharingAs needed, support the internal team to support the creation and coordination of content for Bixal’s internal email newsletter, and intranet homepageHelp craft company-wide messages from leadership, ensuring clarity and appropriate toneSupport content development for Bixal-wide meetings and other Bixal-wide gatheringsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field7-10 years of experience in strategic communications, marketing communications, or corporate communications with at least 3 to 5 years in federal government consulting, GovCon, or professional services environmentDemostrated experience supporting business development efforts including capture, proposal marketing, past performance documentations, and competitive positioning in federal marketsDirect exposure to federal civilian agencies through the business development lifecycleProven track record of managing multi-channel communication strategies aligned to business growth goals, not just brand managementNice To Have Skills And ExperienceExperience in professional services, government consulting, or B2B environmentDirect experience supporting federal health IT proposals, capability statements, or agency-specific positioningExperience attending and/or preparing team members for federal industry eventsKnowledge of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)Familiarity with GovCon BD tools and intelligence sources such as GovWin, USASpending, Sam.gov, or agency forecast portalsExperience with video editing or multimedia content creationUnderstanding of brand development and management in a
