If you're looking for a place to coast, this is not your firm.WHAT YOU'LL DOSupport attorneys across active family law cases from intake through case closure — divorce, custody, paternity, support, modifications, and estate planning mattersDraft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, orders, correspondence, and discovery with precision and minimal revision neededManage case files, court calendars, and critical deadlines — nothing falls through the cracks on your watchCommunicate directly with clients, providing substantive updates with clarity, warmth, and professionalismCoordinate and execute e-filings through the Indiana Courts system, coordinate service of process, and manage court-related logisticsSupport trial preparation: organize exhibits, prepare binders, draft summaries, and ensure attorneys walk into every courtroom fully preparedConduct factual and legal research and synthesize findings clearly and efficientlySupport new client intake and onboarding, ensuring every client's first experience with our firm reflects our standard of excellenceWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORMinimum 3 years of paralegal experience, with meaningful exposure to family law (strongly preferred)Deep familiarity with Indiana court procedures, local rules, and the Indiana e-filing system (required)Exceptional organizational instincts — you manage multiple active matters without a single dropped ballClean, professional written communication skills — you draft correspondence that needs minimal editingEmotionally steady and empathetic — you know how to communicate with clients who may be going through the hardest time of their livesProficiency with case management software (Clio strongly preferred) and Microsoft Office SuiteSelf-directed and proactive — you identify what needs to be done before you are askedParalegal certificate or degree preferred; equivalent demonstrated experience consideredWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience ($50,000–$75,000 depending on qualifications)Performance-based bonus opportunities — we believe in rewarding excellencePaid Time Off and life insuranceFull reimbursement for paralegal CLE, professional development, and IPA membershipHybrid flexibility (Indianapolis, IN 46240 base) with a firm that respects your timeA genuine seat at the table in a growing, purpose-driven boutique firm where your contributions are visible, valued, and rewardedHOW TO APPLYSend your resume and a tailored cover letter to careers@canelegalindy.com.In your cover letter, address two things specifically:1.
