Assistant Civil DetailerLocation: Wallingford, CTJob Type: Contract-to-HireOverviewWe are seeking an Assistant Civil Detailer to support a variety of civil and underground design projects. This role will assist engineers and designers in preparing detailed drawings and developing design models using CAD software. The position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects and opportunities for growth within a collaborative engineering environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning and preparing detailed drawings using standardized drafting techniques based on sketches, verbal instructions, and engineering notesDevelop initial design models by compiling drawings, calculations, and concepts provided by engineersApply company, client, and project standards to produce control schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment connection diagramsCoordinate with engineers and project managers to verify design requirements and ensure accuracySupport a wide range of drafting activities, including layout, detailing, and problem analysis across varied projectsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including designers and drafters in other disciplinesCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholdersExecute design updates and revisions to project drawingsMaintain and continue developing proficiency in CAD systemsFollow all company policies, procedures, and quality standardsPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Drafting Technology or related field with 2+ years of experience, ORAssociate degree with 3+ years of experience, ORHigh School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of progressive detailing/design experiencePreferred Qualifications (Higher-Level Candidates)Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, ORAssociate degree with 5+ years of experience, ORHigh School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experienceAspen Technical StaffingCELEBRATING 25 YEARS          ~2001-2026~We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
