Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) – Special EducationLocation: Saint Paul, MN AreaPosition Type: Full-Time, 2026–2027 School YearStart Date: August 2026 (aligned with district calendar)Pay Rate: Starting at $65 per hourBenefits: Eligible for full benefits on first day of employmentPosition OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students receiving special education services in the Saint Paul, MN area for the 2026–2027 school year. The OT will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students' functional, motor, sensory, and adaptive skills to enhance participation and success in the school environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' occupational therapy needsDevelop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goalsProvide direct and consultative OT services to students with a variety of needsCollaborate with special education teachers, general education staff, related service providers, and familiesSupport development of fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation skillsAdapt classroom environments, materials, and activities to improve student access and engagementMonitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and data collectionParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress reportingProvide training and strategies to staff and caregivers to support student successQualificationsCurrent licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of MinnesotaMaster's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programExperience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferredKnowledge of IDEA and special education processesStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsAbility to manage a caseload and work effectively within a team environmentCompensation & BenefitsStarting pay rate of $65 per hour, with opportunities for increase based on experienceComprehensive benefits package effective on first day of employment, including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan optionsPaid time off and school holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesContinuing education support
