Infosys Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal with a strong focus on AI‑enabled Healthcare transformation across payers and provider health systems. This leadership role requires a professional with a proven track record in healthcare business consulting, with AI and automation, to join our expanding healthcare practice.
About the Role
We’re launching the next wave of AI in Healthcare and growing our team with leaders who bring insights and best practices to help organizations in their AI‑enabled business transformations. Our Healthcare Consulting team helps healthcare clients apply cutting‑edge technology and techniques to bring solutions to the payer and provider market sectors. You will lead advising our consulting practice on innovative and digital ways of working and bring that same approach to the way in which we advise our healthcare clients.
Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to consulting project delivery, supporting offerings development, staff development, and overall success of the Healthcare practice.
Apply healthcare domain knowledge in functional areas such as claims processing, population health, care management, utilization management, prior authorization, appeals, provider network, HEDIS/Quality/Stars improvement, enrollment, and billing functions.
Work with clients to drive an AI‑first approach to business transformation programs enabled by AI, automation, document understanding, OCR, chatbots, process mining, and machine learning.
Discover and analyze where and how AI and ML solutions can be applied to solve business problems, performing discovery, requirements analysis, process mapping, and impediment identification.
Develop and optimize AI services and solutions, including Centers of Excellence, process assessments, business case development, vendor identification, and selection.
Lead generation of generative AI and agentic AI concepts, proofs‑of‑concept, and solution implementation.
Define desired future state, creating and maintaining Project Design Documents (PDD) and System Design Documents (SDD) throughout the project lifecycle.
Create technology solution designs at platform and architectural levels, information roadmaps, and case definitions.
Support clients’ IT organizations in setting up automation environments (installation, monitoring, controls) and defining infrastructure requirements for AI implementations.
Support proposal development and pursuit of multimillion‑dollar programs.
Reimagine end‑to‑end business processes with an AI‑First approach, identify use cases, estimate effort, and outline assumptions for AI solution implementations.
Lead project teams, mentor, coach, and develop consultants and analysts.
Contribute to practice development by identifying AI trends in healthcare, defining relevant consulting service offerings, and authoring point‑of‑view documents, case studies, and thought‑leadership whitepapers.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate work experience in a customer‑facing role within a large consulting firm, and/or industry experience driving business transformations in a payer or provider/health system.
At least 7 years of experience leading advisory services teams in delivering AI, automation, and/or ML solutions and the technology lifecycle, including operating model/strategy, opportunity assessment, discovery, requirements definition, solution architecture and design, development, testing, and production release.
At least 5 years of healthcare domain experience in functional areas such as claims processing, population health, care management, utilization management, prior authorization, appeals, provider network, HEDIS/Quality/Stars improvement, enrollment, and billing.
At least 5 years of experience implementing AI and automation projects, including robotics, low‑code, OCR, chatbots or virtual assistants, natural language processing, and machine learning.
At least 4 years of experience with AI and automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft, OpenAI, AWS, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism).
At least 4 years of experience implementing AI and automation using Agile or RPA methodologies.
At least 2 years of experience with Process and Task Mining capabilities, specifically UiPath Process Mining.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and collaboration skills.
Strong ability to solve problems, troubleshoot, analyze processes, and map processes while communicating effectively with senior and mid‑level business and IT stakeholders.
Experience in leading or supervising a team of professionals.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 80% of the time and be a resident of an Infosys Consulting hub location (California, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia, Massachusetts) or within a 2‑hour drive of such a hub.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in process improvement and re‑engineering using process mining technologies such as Celonis.
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Certification in Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies.
Estimated annual compensation range for candidates based in CA, NJ, and NY will be $154,375 to $193,125.
