Flexco, a global manufacturer of conveyor system solutions, is seeking a senior level Product Manager III to spearhead our HD Belt Conveyor solutions. This strategic position will be based out of Grand Rapids and will work cross-functionally with both marketing and engineering teams. Level 3 Product Manager at Flexco can expect a starting annual compensation of between $125,000.00 and $160,0000.00, or more, depending on skills, education and experience. What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or mechanical engineering with strong business acumen required MBA and/or Certified Product Manager preferred Minimum 10 years of product management experience. Willingness for domestic and global travel ~ 30-40% of the time. What you will be doing: Leading and developing individual contributors, setting expectations, coaching performance, and delegating effectively Ensuring the overall product strategy is aligned with corporate/business unit strategies, with clearly identified and prioritized initiatives associated with achieving both short- and long-term top and bottom-line growth objectives. Identifying areas of opportunity and drives the execution of those opportunities to meet and exceed overall product line profitability targets for assigned product lines. Ensuring the product development road map is prioritized and communicated clearly to internal stakeholders, ensuring the road map considers the 3 drivers behind the prioritization (business viability, technical feasibility, customer desirability). Ensuring product launch activities achieve the targeting customer adoption of the product identified in the marketing spec. Ensuring marketing resources are maintaining competitive database. Developing appropriate strategies to optimize product portfolio, including pricing strategies. Ensuring product line has appropriate technical, service, and commercial (sales/marketing) support. Delegate support, as appropriate. Engaging with sales and operations planning to ensure manufacturing activity is aligned with market expectations (quality, delivery, cost, capabilities, capacity). Delegate activities, as appropriate. Assisting Strategic Account Sales Managers, as well as local and global sales staff, with pursuit and support of new and existing business Managing direct reports and ensure they ‘meet’ or ‘exceed’ expectations.
