Apprentice Electrician/Electrician/Journeyman Electrician

Job Title: Apprentice Electrician/Electrician or Journeyman Electrician Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team. Our ideal candidate will do their work safely and efficiently, show up on time ready to work, willingness to learn, good general mechanical aptitude, and pride in doing quality work. Responsibilities: · Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems · Read technical diagrams and blueprints · Perform general electrical maintenance · Inspect transformers and circuit breakers · Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing conduit · Ability to climb, and maintain balance, on ladders and scaffolds while carrying tools · May be exposed to high and precarious places · Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices · Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes · Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes · Install wiring, lighting fixtures, outlets, and switches · Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure compatibility and safety · Identify electrical problems and implement effective solutions · Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget · Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations · Make material deliveries to job site, as required · Maintain and organize the electrical van and/or shop tools and equipment · Help maintain a clean and organized work area Education and Experience: · High School diploma or GED · Proven experience as an Electrician in residential, commercial or industrial settings is a plus · Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively · Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics (Preferred, but not required) · Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations is a plus · Skilled electrician, licensed in Iowa (Preferred, but not required) · Strong customer service skills when dealing with residential service calls Skills and License/Certification: - Driver’s License (Required) - Class A Journeyman Electrical License (Preferred, but not required) - Electrical knowledge is a plus - Low voltage systems understanding is a plus - Proficiency with ohmmeters and voltmeters (Preferred, but not required) - Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints (Preferred, but not required) - Experience with hand tools and power tools - Maintenance Person skills for general maintenance tasks Joining our team as an Apprentice Electrician/Electrician/Journeyman Electrician offers a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in the electrical field.
