SDR Software Engineer
Role: SDR Software Engineer (Python / GNU Radio)Location: Fort Meade, Maryland Client: Leading Organisation delivering advanced wireless and RF systems for the Defense & Intelligence CommunityWe are partnering with a highly technical engineering team working at the intersection of RF systems, software-defined radio, and secure communications within the U.S. defense and intelligence space.With continued growth across wireless technologies, IoT systems, and software-defined platforms, they’re expanding their team to develop next-generation capabilities used in real-world operational environments.About the Role:You’ll be developing and integrating applications in a Linux environment, with a strong focus on software-defined radio (SDR) and DevSecOps practices.This role combines Python development, RF signal processing, and modern CI/CD workflows - building and deploying systems that operate across complex wireless environments.Qualifications:5+ years of experience developing software in Linux environments.Strong programming experience in Python.Experience with GNU Radio or similar SDR frameworks.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).Experience with Docker and containerized environments.Familiarity with DevSecOps principles.Understanding of RF signal processing, particularly Wi-Fi (802.11), Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, or similar IoT technologies.Experience working with SDR hardware (TX/RX chains, filtering, antennas, etc.) is highly desirable.Unfortunately, due to the nature of this work, we are unable to provide sponsorship.
