As we expand our international footprint, we’re looking for an Ocean Freight Manager to take ownership of and scale our ocean freight operations across imports and exports.If you understand global trade flows, can bring structure to complexity, and are ready to lead from the front - this is your lane. ⚓🧭 About the RoleThis is a leadership role responsible for overseeing our ocean freight function end-to-end.You will manage both import and export operations, ensuring efficient execution, compliance, and strong client experience across global shipments.You’ll work alongside an existing team of Ocean Import & Export Specialists, helping bring alignment, structure, and scalability to a growing operation.⚙️ Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end ocean freight operations (FCL & LCL) across imports and exportsEnsure compliance with U.S. import/export regulations (CBP, ISF, AES, etc.)Coordinate with carriers, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment executionServe as a senior point of contact for clients, resolving issues and maintaining service qualityLead and support a team of Ocean Import & Export Specialists, driving performance and consistencyDevelop and standardize SOPs to improve operational efficiency and scalabilityTrack key operational KPIs and drive continuous improvementPartner with Sales to support new business and international account growth🎯 What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications8+ years of ocean freight experience within a freight forwarder, NVOCC, or 3PLStrong experience in ocean imports, exports, or bothSolid understanding of U.S. import/export regulations and processesExperience coordinating international shipments and working with overseas partnersAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment⭐ Important NoteExperience across both imports and exports is highly preferred.However, we are open to strong candidates with deep expertise in ocean imports who are ready to expand their scope and take ownership of the broader ocean freight function.💡 What You’ll GetMedical insurance 100% covered by the company (50% coverage for dependents)Dental insurance (50% employer-paid) and Vision coverage available401(k) with company match (2% of salary) via PaychexPaid Time Off:10 vacation days/year (increasing to 15 after 5 years)3 personal days + 1 floating holidayParental Leave: up to 12 weeks (NJ policy + FMLA/UPL where applicable)High-growth environment with real ownership and leadership exposureOpportunity to build and scale a key international function📩 Ready to Move Global Freight with Us?If you’re ready to take ownership of ocean freight operations and help scale a global logistics platform - we want to hear from you.Send me your resume to with the subject \"Ocean Freight Manager\"
