Service Writer - School Bus
The Service Writer acts as the primary liaison between customers and service technicians, managing vehicle service requests, customer communication, and workflow coordination. Key Responsibilities: Service writer will be responsible for greeting customers, understanding vehicle concerns, and translating those concerns into service orders for technicians. Providing cost estimates, explain recommended services, and updating customers on repair progress. Scheduling appointments and managing service department workflowProcessing orders, payments, and finalizing billingHandling customer complaints, returns, and grievancesMaintaining accurate service records and documenting all customer interactionsCoordinating parts procurement and ensuring availability for scheduled repairsActing as a customer relationship manager and promoting repeat business. Skills to be successful as a Service Writer:A successful Service Writer combines technical knowledge of automotive services with strong customer service and communication skills.
