You must apply here to be considered.About the jobForward Deployed EngineerJob Title: Forward-Deployed EngineerSalary: $160K–$200K+ base, plus equityLocation: San Francisco, CA — in-personThe CompanyA Series A startup building the infrastructure that lets AI agents reliably communicate with tools across any stack.Traction$25M Series A led by Lightspeed Ventures3x ARR growth this year.Customers including Zoom, HubSpot, Glean, and many YC startups.What the day-to-day looks likeOwn technical relationships with top accounts across discovery, architecture, integration planning, launch, and tuning.Build proofs of concept end to end in TypeScript, Python, the company's SDK, and the customer's stack.Debug customer issues live — devtools, logs, repros, notebooks, and GitHub issues engineering can act on.Write reference architectures and reusable code patterns the next customer can use.Partner with engineering on the enterprise roadmap when repeated customer pain points become product primitives.Dogfood the product to automate your own customer workflows.Who you areIf you are very good, nothing is a must per se — but the strongest candidates bring prior software engineering experience and most of the following:Applied engineering — you've shipped production code, not just demo code.Architecture under pressure — you can make calls fast and defend them in front of senior engineers.Customer technical ownership — you've carried a customer from first call to live deployment.AI-native — you've built with language models, built for language models, and keep up with what the frontier labs ship.Taste — you have a finger-feel for what makes a good developer experience.Typist — you write docs well and explain complex ideas clearly.Human — you build trust and admit what you don't know.Nice to have — multiple years writing TypeScript or Python in production, a devtools or infrastructure background, contributions to a major open-source project, or companies / large side projects you've built.Interview ProcessTake-home assessment.Intro call.On-site.
