Assistant Project ManagerPenobscot General ContractorsFalmouth or Bangor, MEWe are working with our client, Penobscot General Contractors, in seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team, based out of either our Falmouth or Bangor office. This role is working with the Project Manager on projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful delivery aligned with project goals, budget, schedule, and a strong commitment to safety.Qualifications:1-3 years' experience within the construction field in project management or similarAbility to negotiate with subcontractors and suppliersExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to solve problemsMust have proficiency in Microsoft Office, Scheduling software and knowledge of ProcoreKnowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, requisitions, changes and sequencesKnowledge of industry safety standardsKey Responsibilities:RFI's, submittals, preparing schedules, change ordersAttending construction meetingsQuality controlInteraction with subcontractors, suppliers, design professionalsOther duties as directed by PM and/or management teamCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceAnnual bonus opportunity based on performanceHealth, dental, and life insurance401(k) and ESOP participation3 weeks of PTO annuallyCollaborative team environment with autonomy and opportunity for growthAbout Penobscot General ContractorsPenobscot General Contractors is an employee-owned, full-service construction management firm delivering projects across a wide range of sectors and project types.
