Senior Business Analyst

Job Title: Business AnalystStart Date: ASAPDuration: 3-6 ContractLocation: Preferred local to NJ / Remote is fineVisa: GC & US Citizen (Preferred)Contract : W2 Only  Specific duties include but not limited to:Design & Implementation (50%)* Interface with Client staff, vendors, consultant and customers as appropriate to lead service design,transition, operation and continual improvement of business technology solutions including:* Lead the analysis and recommendation of innovative solutions to improve efficiency and qualityof process, increase productivity, availability and performance to aide in long term strategic andoperational goals.* Business analysis and development of functional and non-functional requirements;* Incorporation of business architecture into any solution design;* Documentation of requirements, test case oversight and change management procedures from anClient business owner perspective for existing mission critical systems & applications ensuringchange meets (or exceeds) business objectives* Alignment of change management processes with Client processes* Alignment of all Client technology services and quality management processes* Oversight of the design of applications and the mapping of functional business requirements intotechnical requirements/agile stories.* Management of vendor relationships and ensuring that business goals and service levels are met.* Transition of services and oversight of application migration when appropriate, includingdocumentation, communication, and approvals with all relevant Client Units and business owners* Lead project team and organize and plan team meetings, discuss project logistics and ensurebusiness concerns are addressed throughout the project life cycle* Responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of complex projects.* Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver and maintain best-in-class solutions.* Partner across the Client to translate and evangelize business needs/strategies into solutions thatinteroperate, and which create efficiencies, which provide the highest level of customer experienceand which drive improved utilization of self-service/automation by internal and/or external users.Service Strategy (30%)* Work as part of a team to Identify and establish strategic long-term solution technology goals andpolicies and proceduresbased on business objectives* In partnership with IT and business stakeholders, evaluate alternative solutions to meet businessrequirements and align toIT strategies, utilizing proven tools/methodologies to facilitate build/buy decisions.* Research emerging solution technologies and assess their maturity and applicability to theapplications being developed;* Work with product and portfolio management on feasibility, cost and requirements for new tools,services and products* Maintains up to date knowledge of assigned business and technology solutions and uses knowledgeto propose and guide business improvements* Consult regularly with staff, volunteers and users regarding tools, solutions and product needs anddevelop strategic plans and roadmaps based on budget and business drivers* Active participation in the multi-year business technology roadmap. Collaborate with partners inIT and across the Client footprint to ensure designs are consistent with broader organization strategiesand roadmaps.* Decipher, solution options, and articulate benefits/risks including pros and cons of solutions as partof service strategy development.* Collaborate and continuously develop strong and productive working relationships with membersof the business and Client-IT Teams.* Provides expert consultation for business projects that often integrate new technology and/or carryout organization-wide operational and technology functions.* Provides expert leadership of and input to review of designs, installation, configuration,maintenance, testing, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of mission-criticalsystems, projects, databases, and solutions.Service Operations and Continual Improvement (20%)* Responsible for incident management including analysing/troubleshooting complex support issuesand for driving servicerestoration through proper escalation of business-critical solutions by using a combination ofindependent and team judgment and knowledge to resolve problems.* Independent and team-based research to resolve highly complex problems (business and technical).* Assists service strategy including in the formulation, analysis and review of solutions business casedocuments, project plans and schedules to ensure accurate and valid to required business needs* Reviews, updates and develops documentation including but not limited to: requirements,validations, processes, scripts, and procedures for future reference or use.* Responsible for the consistency, clarity, and quality in all documentation and other artifacts byreviewing, validating, editing, rewriting, and authoring as necessary.* Responsible for sharing knowledge across organizational boundaries to ensure the highest level ofservice.
