HVAC Technician
As an HVAC Technician at KVK Tech, you will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems that support both administrative and manufacturing/utility areas. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, support environmental control systems within a regulated facility, and ensure continuous reliability of HVAC and climate control systems under minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities:Perform scheduled preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and building automation systemsDiagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions in chillers, air handlers, rooftop units, split systems, boilers, and process cooling/heating loopsInspect, calibrate, and maintain sensors, thermostats, actuators, and control valves to ensure system performanceMonitor, log, and trend HVAC system parameters (temperatures, pressures, flow rates) to maintain validated environmental conditionsOperate and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) and automation controls (e.g. Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or equivalent)Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals to resolve issues effectivelySupport installation, startup, and commissioning of new HVAC/utility systems or modificationsRecord all maintenance and repair work accurately in the CMMS, in compliance with internal quality standards and cGMP expectationsCoordinate with Engineering, Facilities, and Quality departments on change control, validation, and system modificationsStrictly adhere to safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and regulatory requirementsMentor or provide technical guidance to junior maintenance personnel or contractors when neededMaintain mechanical rooms, equipment areas, and workspaces in organized, clean, and compliant conditionPerform additional duties as assigned to support the continuous reliability of facility operations What We’re Looking ForExperience:Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial or commercial HVAC maintenance and repairExperience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or FDA-regulated environments is preferredEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent (required)Completion of an accredited trade or vocational program in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems (required) Skills & Knowledge:Expertise in HVAC system diagnostics, mechanical & electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenanceKnowledge of chillers, boilers, air handling units (AHUs), VAV systems, exhaust systems, and process cooling loopsExperience with Building Management Systems / automation platformsProficient in reading electrical schematics, control diagrams, and blueprintsSolid understanding of industrial power/control systems (120/208/480V)Experience with CMMS and Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and operate independentlyFlexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and be on-call as needed Certifications & Licenses:EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (required)Valid driver’s license (required) What We OfferCompetitive compensation with annual performance bonus eligibilityAnnual merit-based pay increasesAutomatic enrollment in a 401(k) at 3% pre-tax with 50% company match on the first 6% contributedPaid Time Off10 paid company holidaysComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverageProfessional development reimbursementCareer growth opportunitiesTuition reimbursement for children and childcare expense reimbursement ScheduleFull-time, on-site role (primarily day shift; flexibility for off-hours, nights, or emergency support as needed)
