Work ScheduleMonday Friday 7:00 AM 12:00 PMNote: Actual hours worked will be determined in accordance with age and New York State Labor Laws.CompensationMinimum Hourly Rate: $16.00Position SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Seasonal Grounds & Cleaners perform general cleaning and maintenance duties in school buildings and on district grounds. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform general cleaning and maintenance of school facilitiesAssist with upkeep of outdoor grounds and landscaped areasUse hand tools and equipment for basic grounds maintenanceSupport facilities staff with assigned tasksMaintain a safe and clean work environment Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated reliability, including consistent punctuality and readiness to workAbility to follow oral instructions accuratelyAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skillsBasic experience using hand tools for grounds or park maintenance Additional RequirementsAbility to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditionsMust be at least 16 years of ageCandidates under 18 must provide valid working papers in accordance with New York State law Travel RequirementsOccasional travel between school buildings and district facilities may be requiredDisclaimerThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
